In full-tang construction with damascus-clad homemade steel formula comes a Western-style workhorse chef knife forged by Austrian designer and bladesmith Martin Huber. Rarely seen from Martin, known for his more common wa-style handles and Eastern profiles, this Western build features a beautifully balanced, full-size 233mm / 9.2" blade with a polished spine that measures 4mm across at the maker's mark and then tapers both backward between the handle scales, and forwards to a fine, needle-like tip. Textured, forge-finished flats show the marks of the blade's hand-hammered origins, with 120 layers of carbon damascus steel dripping down through the tough, beautifully honed convex bevels, culminating at a vein of pure nickel which reduces carbon diffusion, the build culminating at a thin, hard, razor-sharp edge of 1.2419 tungsten-carbon steel.
