Rufai Zakari
Rufai Zakari Jabre is a Ghanaian artist based in Accra and Bawku. He became acquainted with recycled materials at a young age while growing up in Bawku, a town in northern Ghana. Rufai uses his artistic works to champion issues of sustainability in an era marked by requests to reduce carbon footprints and mitigate climate change. With his focus on addressing local and global environmental concerns, Rufai uses recycled plastics and synthetic materials to create his works. His works, in all their vibrant colours, are intended to illuminate the topics he’s always wanted to discuss—industrialization, consumerism, pollution, and climate change. About Little Angel In 2011, the association Little Angel was founded to support a children's home and a primary school in Mombasa, Kenya (Likoni/Mtongwe).
