I developed the original HJM with eco board ambassador and local South Bay stand out Hunter Jones over a 2-3 year period. We got in the bay together recently to concoct a new updated version for 2022. We tweaked the nose and pulled it a bit but still keeping maximum foam up under the chest. The bump in the tail has been subtly altered as well. Basically we’ve trimmed the fat to achieve a more high performance shortboard The original HJM was more of a utility shape, while this one is a straight up high performance shortboard. The HJM is your ideal board for all conditions. This board works well in knee to overhead surf, but excels in mid sized waves. The deck is more domed than the original HJM. Comes standard as a rounded squash tail. Best ridden the same length as your traditional shortboard or increase 1-2” in length for overhead conditions. All skill leve
