Marion Feldman - Leading Cello Performer, Faculty of Manhattan School of Music and NYU Steinhardt
Marion Feldman is recognized as a leading performer and pedagogue of cello and chamber music. She has been on the cello and chamber music faculty of the Manhattan School of Music since 1974 and the Pre-College Division since 1982. She has been a member of the artist cello faculty at the NYU Steinhardt School of Music and Performing Arts Professions since 1999. Her longest affiliation has been with the CUNY Brooklyn Conservatory of Music since 1972. She is also a member of the faculty of the City University Graduate Center. Miss Feldman received her training as a scholarship student at the Juilliard School of Music, where she studied with her mentor, Luigi Silva. Additional studies at the Juilliard school were with Leonard Rose, Bernard Greenhouse and Zara Nelsova. She received her bachelors degree there in 1960 and her masters degree in 1962.
