Lavan Cartwheel Bias Dress

This long, flattering bias dress stands out with an astonishing handmade tie-dye pattern, making each dress one-of-a-kind. The long dress is made in Indonesia from a light, pleasant fabric with a delicate silky feel to it. The long silhouette is defined by a bias-cut snuggling around the body and highlighting the shape beautifully. It has a round neckline and medium-wide straps. ABOUT THE CARTWHEEL DYEThe fabric is hand dyed by the artist in Bali. The swirls are hand dyed with a sponge and sprinkled with ice cubes and backing soda.This way the dye slowly moves out in the fabric.After two hours the cartwheel pattern is complete. All our dyes are created by hand in our colour atelier in Bali. Here we work and collaborate with local artisans, who have carried the art and expertise of traditional dying techniques on for generations.
