When I first discovered Tom of Finland’s illustrations, I was mesmerized and wondered how I might look as one of his characters. But as an Asian man, it was harder to imagine because I couldn’t find a representation of myself in that world. So, I decided to create one! 🥰 This piece is my homage to Tom of Finland’s iconic artwork, created in one of his main mediums: graphite.The medium of original artwork is graphite on bristol board.
