Schminnow

Norm Zeigler created the Schminnow for Snook on Floridas calm gulf beaches . With no added weight, it lands lightly, fishes slow, shallow & won't spook fish. If you hear someone raving about an great day on Snook, Redfish or Rooster Fish, often the Schminnow is the star of the story. Many of my favorite patterns have co-evolved with the same deadly combination of pearl flash in the belly and a white tail, for example, Steelhead and Crappie jigs, Clouser variations, Banjo Minnows, Bob's Bangers, and Silver Bullets.
