Celtic Knot Red Leather eye patch triquetra pirate Halloween costume
If ever there was a Celtic pirate, especially one with panache, he (or she) might have worn such an eye patch as this to add style to their costume! This handmade leather eye patch has been carved with a three-pointed Celtic knot called a triquetra, which has been used in both Christian and pagan symbolism. The eye patch was dyed red, the triquetra painted copper, and all was sealed thereafter. This handmade eye patch is made of durable hardened leather and can be worn over either the left or right eye. Each eye patch fastens with lightly waxed brown cotton cords, tied with sturdy sliding knots which are fully adjustable to fit men, women, and teens. I opted not to use elastic, as it can tend to stretch and wear out quickly -- also because I just don't like the way it looks and feels.
