The unit has been pre-programmed with 6 meat/poultry choices and various doneness temperatures. The pre-programmed temperatures are based on USDA safe cooking temperatures. The TASTE mode will not allow the user to undercook when it is not safe to do so. Both the taste chosen and the temperature will be displayed during cooking.
