Golden Grass

Hilary Baldwin graduated from the Vesper George School of Art, where she studied illustration, composition, and design, and developed a fluency in watercolor painting. She began her career as a commercial artist, specializing in fashion illustration. Later, she shifted her focus to landscape painting in oils, studying with artist and teacher David Curtis and participating in workshops with Robert Douglas Hunter and Bill Ternes. Much of Hilary’s work reflects natural settings. Many of her paintings are created on location en plein air, or begun outdoors and finished in the studio. She is drawn to the serenity and beauty of nature and strives to capture these qualities while maintaining a sense of spontaneity in each piece.
