The writing on the cable sheath's side identifies cat 6 cable. ANSI/TIA-568 defines cable types, connector types, and wiring topologies.Cat 6 patch cables are often terminated in 8P8C modular connectors with either T568A or T568B pin assignments. As long as both ends of a cable are terminated the same way, performance is equivalent.The total performance is reduced and may not fulfill Cat 6 performance requirements if Cat 6-rated patch cables, jacks, and connectors are not utilized with Cat 6 wire.
