Main application is spot welding tabs or straps to nickel–cadmium, nickel–metal hydride or Lithium-ion battery cells to make batteries. The cells are joined by spot welding thin nickel straps to the battery terminals. Welding Functionality: The welding process consists of welding of thin nickel plates which connect one battery cell to another in a battery pack using the Battery Tab Spot Welder. This machine uses a dual pulse feature which produces a clean, strong and repetitive weld. The first weld heats the surface and eliminates the contaminant to seat the welding electrode tips.
