1.Introduction DS1302 is DALLAS company launched trickle charge clock chip. The chip contains a real-time clock / calendar and 31 bytes of static RAM, through a simple serial interface to communicate with the microcontroller. Real-time clock / calendar circuit provides information on seconds, minutes, hours, days, weeks, months, years. The number of days per month and the number of days of leap years can be adjusted automatically. The operation of the clock can be determined by the AM / PM indication in 24 or 12 hour system. DS1302 and microcontroller can simply communicate by means of synchronous serial, which requires only three port lines: (1)RST (2)DAT (3)SCLKThe read / write data of the clock /RAM is communicated by one byte or character groups up to 31 bytes. DS1302 works with low power consumption and power less than 1mW when keeping data and clock information. The module comes with two positioning holes that allow you to secure the module to other devices.2.
