Walnut Saya for Japanese Handled Knives

Our Walnut Element Knife Company branded Saya covers are hand-crafted in Osaka Japan. These Saya covers are designed to accommodate Traditional Japanese Wa-style handled knives. Wood sheaths are great for knives, especially high-carbon steel. The Saya offers airflow around the blade which helps prevent corrosion during storage. We intentionally had the craftsman not a drill a hole for the Saya Pin, so the knife can be sized most effectively. Simply place the blade on the sheath and mark the innermost part of the choil. Then, use a 5/32" size drill bit to make a hole for the included pin.  Extra Saya Pins & 5/32 " drill bits are available for separate sale.
