From my Collecting Colorways series, an exploration of natural pigments in Whatcom County. Pigment sources: winter rosehips from the Puget Sound coast and a rusted railspike from Bellingham, Washington. Each pigment is a shade of light brown, but where the iron touches the rose hips, the ink oxidizes to almost pure black! A magical combination of inks. This print is 8x10 inches including the white space. (So, pop it into a standard size frame without a mat for quick hanging or use a custom mat in your choice of frame size.) The paper is very nice- luxuriously textured, 100% cotton, acid and lignin-free... think thick, fancy watercolor paper. Frame not included.
