Have you ever seen kelp swaying in the currents of the Pacific Ocean? Have you experienced the wonder of bioluminescence? I felt compelled to create this piece, perhaps out of an understanding for how small we really are. She's a reminder to be in awe of what is without, see the layers and respect the wonders of this world. Made from hand-dyed torn strips of silk charmeuse blended with hemp. Like most of the collages in this collection, this piece has the feeling of a living breathing organism.
