It feels nearly impossible to find these vintage beads anymore. Called "snake vertebrae" for their resemblance to the namesake, these glass beads were made in Czechoslovakia starting over 100 years ago and traded throughout the African continent with a special concentration on the west coast.  To find strands in such an incredibly unique color combination this spring was a joyful surprise, and we couldn't resist a stylish tribute to the kind of gal who forges a path all her own by combining color, pattern, and sparkle in what feels like an unexpected way.  The trio of strands are clasped by an Art Deco rhinestone buckle that can be hidden at the back of the neck or worn at the side of the strands for a bit more glamour - either way, it's a statement style. Necklace measures a longer length of 23" overall.
