Bonded Nylon thread is an excellent choice in beading, being stronger and with a higher heat tolerance than regular Nylon. The bonding agent which coats the Nylon thread fibers add strength and reduces needle friction. #138 is 3-ply, with approximately 1500 yards per 1/2 lb. cone, a diameter of .0163" and 22 lb. strength.
