LV-5287 Manzanita & Live Oak Acorn Pendant Box,Bag Charm, Keychain-SCREW CAP

This is a very pretty acorn shaped box made out of Manzanita (Arctostaphylos manzanita) with Betelnut (Areca catechu) cap.  Manzanita is a beautiful shrub with contorted, red bark branches that grows on the foot hills of California.  The wood is exceptionally fine grain but notoriously difficult to dry without checks or splits.  One of my favorite wood out of almost 1000 species I have collected.  The cap has the interesting pattern of cross-cut live oak, showing the natural radial rays A nice box for your valuables. The screw-on cap makes this nature inspired box extra special and ensures that your content is secured. It is ready to dangle off your keychain, bag zipper, belt with the removable lobster claw. The nut is small enough to be worn as a pendant (without the claw).
