LV-967 Camphor Burl & Thinwin Threaded Urn, Lidded Trinket Box, Jewelry Box, Treenware

This is a unique box made out of Camphor Burl (Cinnamomum camphora) with Thinwin (Millettia pendula) threaded insert and cap. The natural checks and cracks on this piece was filled with camphor saw dust for added character. There is also a band of sparkling vermiculite inlay for accent. If you a gardener, you probably know what vermiculite is, but I bet you have never seen it utilized this way! What's more,it also has a pleasant scent. Open the cap and take a sniff!A lidded box is nice, but a threaded box is something special. The screw-on cap ensures that your content is secured. It is a beautiful decorative item as well as functional, and is large enough to serve as a small pet urn. Dimension (largest diameter x height): 3" x 6-1/2"PLEASE READ:-- All wood turned items were hand made and/or hand threaded on a lathe. Hardwood threaded inserts were used for woods that do not accept threading well.-- The item was sanded to 1200 grid for a mirror finish and sealed with a food-safe varnish
