Lincoln Highway Sunset

10”x 8.5” tapestry woven with cotton and wool yarn, hung on wood dowel. I spend a good amount of time driving home from visiting family around sunset time. The result has been getting to experience some amazing Iowa windshield sunsets over the years. This one was seen as we were driving west on the Lincoln Highway.Also known as US30, the Lincoln Highway is the oldest coast to coast roadway in the nation. There is so much history attached to this road, and I feel lucky that we get to drive it!
