1961 Gibson ES-125TCD
Summary: Introduced in 1941 as the successor to the ES-100, the ES-125 was an entry-level archtop electric guitar. It had one P-90 single-coil pickup in the neck position, a single volume control and a single tone control. This iteration of the ES-125 has the thin body, a Florentine cutaway, and two original dog ear P90s. It is finished in a cherry sunburst, has a trapeze tailpiece, and a bound neck and body. Body: Thin with a Florentine cutaway finished in a cherry sunburst, Maple top/back/sides. Neck: Mahogany with a bound Rosewood fingerboard, 24.75” nut width, 1 11/16” nut width, pearl dot inlays, 20 frets. Pickups/Hardware: Two dog ear P90 pickups, trapeze tailpiece, Kluson deluxe tuning keys, tortoise shell pickguard, two volume/two tone controls/3-way pickup selector, floating rosewood bridge. Cosmetics: This guitar is in excellent vintage condition. This guitar has light surface scratches throughout. The back of the body has light indentations in the top part of the finish. The
