The watch houses a rare and early 117 'Quadron' barrel shaped caliber running on 17 jewels with sub seconds complication. It is cased in a classic rectangular shaped 14K white gold filled case with decorations in Art Deco motif on the sides and comes with a near mint faceted crystal and an original crown.The dial is a factory original hard enamel dial with Art Deco style numerals with an original set of hands. The luminous material has been restored with non-toxic material and is glowing nicely in the dark.This rare Gruen watch measures 22mm side to side (excluding crown) and 38mm from top lug to bottom lug.
