This reference is simply known as the 'strap square' in Gruen catalogs. The watch houses a rare and early 885 GUILD caliber, running well on 15 jewels with sub seconds. It is cased in a classic square shaped 14K gold filled case with decorations in Art Deco motif on the sides with unique black enamel pattern on the front. It had a mint flat crystal and a good crown. This case model ref is 885-11.The dial is a 100% factory original hard enamel off-white dial with distinctive Art Deco figures and original set of hands. The luminous material on this dial has been restored with non-toxic Super-Luminova™ instead of the original hazardous Radium and it comes with the original set of hands as well.
