
Cozy Up! Pattern
This pattern was developed to fight the fear of taking scissors to your knitting! Steeking is a wonderful technique for any knitter in pursuit of honing their craft! Version 1 is a stranded colorwork design meant to fit snugly around a wide mouth Mason Jar. Version 2 is plain stockinette stitch with increases to create a tapered cozy that should fit most take out cups, but is encouraged for use with ceramic look-a-like mugs! Recommended YARN: Any "sticky," non-superwash, fingering-weight wool yarn will work! SHOP EMTOTHETHIRD YARN OPTIONS HERE! Gauge: 28 sts and 36 rnds = 4" / 10cm in stockinette in the rnd Recommended needle: US 1 (4 mm) OR size needed to obtain gauge for knitting in small circumferences, DPNs or Long Circular for magic loop Notions- stitch markers- sharp sewing needle- sewing thread- scissors- versions A & B: 8, 3/8" buttons- OPTIONAL: 1/4" ribbon
