Amethyst is a variety of Quartz and ranges from a light blue-ish color, to deep dark purples, and varieties with hematite even appear pink! A stone of spirituality, contentment, and sobriety (not just from substances). It’s an EXCELLENT aid for meditation & cleansing and purifying one's energy field. One of my personal favorites to enter a meditation i call an “Amethyst Bath”.
