The crystals form tightly packed clusters with consistent crystal habit and moderate variation in size. The calcite shows dark brown coloration caused by iron-rich mineral staining and surface coatings. The crystal field extends across the majority of the specimen’s upper surface, forming a textured layer of intergrown points. Numerous well-defined crystal terminations are visible across the specimen. Specimen Details:The calcite crystals are attached to a thick natural matrix base composed of iron-stained host rock. Portions of the matrix remain exposed along the underside and edges, showing the natural growth structure of the specimen.
