Simply mount the enclosure and plug the pre-wired 5 foot power cord into a nearby outlet. Two internal pre-wired 120VAC power outlets are provided to power your equipment.Get your project up and running quickly and transition to hard-wired later if needed. The power cord can removed and the power receptacle can be hard-wired by a qualified installer.Cooling Fan VentilationThe NP171407VFA1C features dual vents and a thermostat controlled cooling fan. The low noise, high airflow fan helps maintain lower internal temperatures. The fan turns on when the internal temperature reaches 100°F (38°C) and turns off when it drops to 79°F (26°C). The fan is wired internally so it does not require the use of the AC outlets leaving them available for internal equipment use. Rain shrouds on the front door keep rain water from entering the enclosure.Equipment Mounting OptionsThis enclosure provides multiple ways to install equipment. Raised bosses located in the base of this enclosure can be used to mount an equipment plate. These same bosses can also be used to installed up to four 35mm Top Hat DIN Rail kits available from Altelix. A large flat section is also provided in the base for use with the hook-n-loop tape included in the accessory kit.Note: this enclosure is also available with an aluminum equipment mounting plate (see NP171407VPFA1C) or a non-metallic PVC equipment mounting plate (see NP171407VMFA1C).RF Transparent DesignThe NP171407VFA1C is ideal for WiFi applications. The non-metallic design of both the enclosure and equipment mounting plate will not interfere with the radio's operation. The size of this enclosure will fit a wide range of popular wireless access points on the market.Secure Your EquipmentThese NP series enclosures feature a gasketed lid with dual stainless steel quick release latches. A stainless steel security screw with keys and a provision for a padlock are also provided.Polycarbonate + ABS Protection Built to LastThis enclosure is molded out of UV resistant Polycarbonate + ABS, an industrial grade plastic with greater strength and durability than standard ABS.
