Add Select an Option to Your Product Options

Help your customers avoid confusion and make sure they select the correct product options the first time with this customization.  Rather than having the first product option selected automatically, add a "Select an Option" selection to each drop-down menu to require your customers to choose their options. What is included with this customization? With this customization, we will add coding so the words "Select an Option" (or whatever text you wish) will appear in all of your variant drop-down menus as the first selection by default. This will prevent customers from accidentally adding the default variant to their cart and force them to choose product options before adding the item to their cart. Error checking is included.
