Jazzmaster Pickups (Set)

Formvar wire. Handbuilt and handwound from the highest quality materials. These vintage correct pickups are made with aged bobbins, Alnico 5 magnets, and 42 awg Formvar or enamel wire (your choice). They're then finished with push-back cloth wire and potted in wax. We construct these as matched sets, giving them unique tone and compatibility. They are also RWRP (reverse-wound, reverse-polarity), so they are hum-canceling when both pickups are engaged in the middle switch position. The bridge pickup is slightly hotter then the neck pickup, which makes for easy pickup height setting. There are very few aftermarket pickups that stay true to the sound, shape, and look of the pre-CBS Jazzmaster. It is our goal to make great sounding pickups based on the specs of the originals - and these pickups are made to look and sound the way a Jazzmaster is supposed to.
