The Slotted Optical Switch is used to determine the home position of all Epax3D machines. If you are having issues with the build plate rising when you press the home button, your build plate thinking its at the home position when it's not, the red light on the optical switch flickering or not coming on at all, then you may need to replace the Optical Switch.
