(5 1/2 x 3 1/2 In) This is an original antique AZO paper real photo postcard from the 1910s. It shows a view of Freemont, Ohio completely inundated with high floodwaters, washing out the State Street Bridge, flood debris building up as it catches in the steel. Lots of interesting details can be seen with a magnifying glass, stranded people standing on rooftops and partially submerged theater posters to name a few. I can make out a few of the signs on buildings, "Riverside Fuel & Supply Co", "Hilt & Pearson East Side Livery". Taken during "The Great Flood of 1913", which occurred between March 23 and March 26, when major rivers in the central and eastern United States flooded from runoff after several days of heavy rain. The related deaths and damage in the United States were widespread and extensive. While the exact number killed is not certain, flood-related deaths in Ohio, Indiana, and eleven other states are estimated to be at least 650. The death toll from the flood of 1913
