A NEW DIY ERA IS COMING! Like many other crafting enthusiasts, our team at KiiBoom is extremely fond of DIY keyboards. However, it’s a headache when different keyboards adopt different screws to assemble the boards. We wanted a keyboard that can be disassembled and reassembled without any other tools, so we decided to make one. Introducing the KiiBoom Moonshadow 81, an aluminum-cased QMK barebones kit. STURDY MILLENNIUM-OLD MORTISE-TENON TECHNOLOGY Inspired by the mortise and tenon technique of woodworking, we designed the joints of the KiiBoom Moonshadow 81 to be firmly connected at right angles. The mortise and tenon technique has been utilized for thousands of years and is renown for its strength and feasibility. In this way, the keyboard can be disassembled and assembled simply by joining the pieces together.
