Why I love it: Tu's stories about secret monopoly rules, the time she had to use her emergency fund to pay a medical bill, learning to money in a different context than her immigrant parents, and her years working on Wall Street, are captivating and clarifying. What I learned: What money to keep in which types of accounts (like how much you should keep in checking, versus a high yield savings account, and the differences between banks and credit unions). Then how to invest, and the order of accounts to prioritize for tax advantage (like contributing pre-tax into an employer-sponsored retirement fund before investing post-tax dollars through a brokerage).
