For quite some time I have been wondering what new instrument I could create that was really good. And here it is! Using a Tenor Sax mouthpiece and an easy to blow 1 1/2 tenor reed. I was amazed that such a thin piece of bamboo with a big sax head could sound so good and be so easy to play. Mysterious, Meditative, Relaxing and Deep. HOW TO: Moisten the reed with a few licks. Or pop it into the mouth to moisten. Once the reed is moist, it is easier to play and sounds better. To remove the reed loosen the ligature screws. And carefully place the reed into mouth to moisten. Then return reed and from the flat side make sure you see a thin halo of the mouthpiece over the reed. Then align ligature just under line of mouthpiece and gently tighten the 2 screws. After playing a lot the reed can be removed and rinsed with water and left flat side up to dry. Tight lower lip goes over bottom teeth. Reed rests on bottom tight lip. Top teeth on mouthpiece.
