Side Blown Flute - The Japanese Garden ~ Nature Flute
I love a flute with a story! While clearing an area to build my 'Japanese Garden' around our bamboo grove, I found a piece of bamboo with holes that looked like a perfect "Nature Flute. I was not sure if ants made the holes or perhaps a woodpecker. And I was very curious as to the tuning of this "Nature Flute". So I and copied the holes and was thrilled with what I found! A pentatonic minor flute! Very Japanese! I then was able to move some holes to better fit the hand while keeping the scale intact. I am calling it, My Japanese Garden ~ Nature Flute. As every piece of bamboo is a bit different I am making these tuned to themselves. I will toss in a free flute bag, free written lesson and a free protective binding. Tips on playing: How to blow: If you are new at this, first hold the flute around the blow hole and press and roll the flute against a soft grin and spit out watermelon seeds across the hole to catch the sweet spot where the air splits across the thin edge of the blow-hole
