19th Century English Aesthetic Movement Faux Bamboo Maple Bed

Gorgeous late 19th century English aesthetic movement bed beautifully crafted from fruitwood and decorated with birds eye maple veneers. The faux-bamboo frame is highly embellished with geometric bamboo designs and thick faux bamboo bed posts on each corner ending with turned finials. The bed is complete with a headboard, footboard, side rails, new slats, and all original hardware. The thick, chunky bed posts are supported by small wood casters. The bed has a distinctive profile and large scale. The interior mattress opening measures 74 inches long and nearly 47 inches deep. The wood has a desirable aged patina to commensurate its age and use as seen in photos. The frame is sturdy and strong with excellent joinery and craftsmanship. Rare, larger size than most.
