Portuguese Baroque Leather Brass Studded Iron Mounted Dome-Top Coffer Trunk

DETAILS This antique, Portuguese leather trunk was hand crafted and leather covered. It features elaborate C and S scroll brass stud work designs on the top and around the sides. But it is most remarkable for the fabulous, hand forged iron, double escutcheons and hasps on the front (in an intricate, extremely decorative design), and the escutcheons for the swing handles on the ends.
