
Near Pair Indo-Portuguese Painted and Gilt Teak Pricket Candlesticks
DETAILS This hand carved, set of two large antique altar sticks was fashioned in a style prevalent in Europe in the 17th-18th centuries. Retaining the original, hand forged iron pricket, each features a broad, round, drip pan over a triform, waisted stem that rests atop a heavy, footed, triform base with fleur-de-lis carved details that are echoed on the upper portion. The pair displays a white and gilt painted finish. A very decorative pair!
