DETAILS Two special antique early modernist patinated black iron double handled monumental planters. A classical form with exaggerated detailing. A wonderful addition to a garden, entry or courtyard. This extremely rare pair was take out of a section in the park to make way for a road, the others remain their original spots on the grounds. MAKER Architects: Josep Fontsere (Spanish, 1829-97) | Antonio Gaudi (Spanish, 1852-1926) PROVENANCE Ciutadella Park (Parc de la Ciutadella) (Barcelona, Spain). This park was designed in 1872 by the architect, Josep Fontsere with the assistance of Antoni Gaudi, who was a student at the time.
