Hindu Gods
In the heart of Indonesia lies Mount Bromo (left) and Mount Batok (right). Deriving from the Javanese pronunciation of Brahma, Bromo means the Hindu creator god. Judging by the sheer scale of these volcanic giants, they certainly feel godly. This shot was captured from the adjacent mountain Gunung Penanjakan mid-morning. My hopes of getting a sunrise shot were squandered by low fog rolling through the valley earlier. But never-the-less, this scene gave me goosebumps as the sulphur rolled out of Bromo's crater.
