Location: Svalbard Icebergs amaze me. They all have their own shape, character and story. The dark lines in this iceberg tells us its history. They are rock sediment deposited from a mountain that a glacier would've calved against before breaking off into the ocean. This shot was captured on an expedition of Svalbard by boat. The iceberg sat directly behind our ship where we parked up for the night. Not a bad hotel view. I'm drawn to this shot through the jagged and broken textures of this iceberg against the silky waters and sky that surround it. The reflections on the water embellish the contrasting colours within the ice, almost providing a voice of its origin. Printed on premium quality Giclée Hahnemühle Photo Rag fine art paper.
