Luminous Shores

Location: Cornwall, UKSandymouth Bay is a popular surf hang-out on the north coast of Cornwall. Backed by a marvel of cliffs rich in geological history dating back millions of years. Fresh waterfalls and claws of impervious rock protrude into the ocean.I ventured to the slippery rock pools of Sandymouth Bay to work on some long exposure shots of the sun setting over the Atlantic Ocean. After about an hour of battling with the tripod I decided make a move back to camp. It wasn't until I began to leave, I stumbled upon this moody composition.The jagged extremities of rock merging with pearly streams of water caught my eye. I love the rich contrast and the balance of dusky hues. The dreaminess of this scene is enhanced by through long exposure to exploit the soft current.  Printed on premium quality Giclée Hahnemühle Photo Rag fine art paper.
