Harold Johnson from Alabama named this tree after his wife, Johnnie. I love this tree. One of the spring color types with soft pink spring emergence. Slowly leaf changes to an orange/brown color, unique in the maples. The leaves are small palmate, branching is fine, somewhat dense.
