6 Antique English 1700's Georgian Sterling Silver Hanoverian Serving Spoons

Presented is a set of 6 English sterling silver spoons in the Hanoverian pattern. The spoons are by a variety of makers, but they all match in style and date to 18th century. Two of the spoons are monogrammed on the reverse of the handle with "C I*A". One of the spoons is monogrammed on the reverse of the handle with "T S". One of the spoons is engraved on the handle with a crest of a goat's head. One of the spoons is engraved on the handle with a crest of hound or dragon's head. The remaining spoon's handle is blank. These are all sturdy and well made serving spoons, in great shape especially for their age, and make a very attractive set. All six of the spoons are hallmarked with the lion passant for sterling silver and the leopard's head crowned for the city of London. Two of the spoons are hallmarked with the date letter b for 1737 and the maker's mark for James Wilks.
