Antique 1909 Dutch Silver Art Nouveau Stork Newborn Baby Theme Serving Spoon

Presented is an antique, Dutch silver serving spoon made in 1909. This Art Nouveau style piece is done in a very ornate fashion and has a newborn baby theme. The top of the twisted, openwork handle has a stork and the bowl has flourishes surrounding a genre scene of a couple watching over a baby bassinet. The piece is marked with the lion passant for a minimum of .833 purity silver, the Dutch Minerva head mark, a date letter Z for the year 1909 and a maker's mark. This piece is in great condition for its age and the designs are crisp. Length: 10 1/2 inches. Weight: 111 grams.
