Presented is a handsome American coin silver fish server by Newell Harding & Company of Boston. The pierced blade is beautifully done with bright cut engraving in the form of a fish surrounded by flowers, scrolls, and leaves. The server is monogrammed with JEW on the reverse. This piece was made between 1835 to approximately 1850, perhaps even a few years later. The fish server is hallmarked on the reverse with a maker’s mark for Newell Harding & Company. Tested and guaranteed to be coin silver. The condition is excellent. There are no dents, no dings, no splits, no breaks, and no repairs. The server is 11 1/4 inches long. The weight is 109.1 grams or 3.8 ounces.
