Antique Pair Tiffany Sterling Silver Olympian Fruit Knives Rare Old Production

Presented is a fabulous pair of Tiffany & Co sterling silver handled fruit knives. These knives are made in the beautiful Olympian pattern, which began production in 1878. The handles of the knives are old, dating to within a decade or so of the production date. The blades are more modern stainless steel replacements, though they are still Tiffany & Co and so marked. As the name suggests, this pattern features decoration in the form of detailed Greco-Roman scenes, lounging god and goddess type figures surrounded by grape vines and clusters. The blades of the knives are serrated along the top, indicating their use as fruit knives. Fruit knives in this pattern are particularly rare, not available from Replacements.com, AntiqueCupboard.com, or anywhere else online that we could find in our research.
