Attractive Pair 18k Gold Diamond & Pearl Leaf Clipback Earrings

Presented is a classy pair of 18 karat gold, diamond and pearl earrings. These earrings date to around the 1950s-1960s and are likely of European make. The earrings are done in an openwork leaf form, set with a pearl surrounded by diamonds in the center. The pearls are lovely high quality pearls, with nice smooth nacre and attractive lustre. The pearls are 4.5 mm. each. Each earring is set with 10 single cut diamonds (20 total) of about 1.5 points each in size. These are dazzling, vibrant stones of VS clarity and F color. The total diamond weight is about 30 points, or a little over a quarter of a carat. The earrings have large omega style clipbacks, suitable for wear with pierced or unpierced ears. The earrings could easily have a post added for wear with pierced ears. The earrings are stamped 18k. We have tested the earrings with nitric acid and guarantee that the earrings themselves are 18 karat gold, while the clipback wires are 14 karat gold. The earrings are in great condition. T
