Charming Antique c1890s European Silver Hanau German? Cow Creamer

Presented is a fantastic continental European silver cow form creamer. This piece dates to circa 1880-1915, and is likely of Hanau German make, though it is a popular form that goes as far back as the 1700s and could have been made elsewhere. The cow is rendered in a charmingly realistic style, with fine attention to detail in the form of the cow's muscles, forelock, and tail, with particular effort put into the expressive eyes. The lid in the cow's back where you would fill the creamer is nicely engraved with a floral design surrounding a bellflower in relief. This is an excellent and highly collectible piece of silver and would be a wonderful addition to any breakfast table or tea/coffee setting. This piece is in great overall condition. There are a couple of small dents here and there, but they blend in with the cow's musculature and are not that easy to notice without close, careful inspection.
